North Shore

My host family brought me up north to the, erm, North Shore! It's an hour drive up from where i stay, and it's really famous for massive waves that attract surfers from around the globe during winter.

Trivia: Lost and the last few seasons of Baywatch were filmed on the North Shore.

We reached in the afternoon, in the town of Hale'iwa. Went to this place called Kua Aina which is apparently very popular. There are supposed to be three outlets, with the one that I went to being the original. The third outlet is in Tokyo hahah.

I bought the Mahi Mahi sandwich... which is a type of fish. Delish!

Then we went to a few places along the North Shore. There's this area called Waimea Bay beach park where we watched the waves break and some surfers. Hmmm, the waves weren't really as high as i thought they would be. Went to a second spot to see the waves too... cant remember what it was called.

Waimea Bay Beach Park. extremely crowded during this season, especially on weekends. People generally aren't allowed to surf here, but they come to watch.
